Disconnecting QuickBooks

TidyMonth connects to QuickBooks Online to read your company data: accounts, transactions, customers, vendors, and reports. We use that connection to import your history and, if it helps, to keep an optional export copy current. We never write to QuickBooks. The one scope Intuit grants technically allows write access, but our integration code has no path that uses it, so nothing in your QuickBooks company is ever changed by us.
How to disconnect
You can disconnect QuickBooks from either side:
- In TidyMonth: go to Connections in your account and choose Disconnect next to QuickBooks.
- In QuickBooks: go to Settings, then Apps, find TidyMonth in your connected apps, and choose Disconnect.
What happens after you disconnect
- We stop pulling any new data from QuickBooks immediately.
- The QuickBooks data we already imported stays in your TidyMonth ledger. Disconnecting does not delete your books.
- Your bank and card connections through Plaid, if you have them, are unaffected and keep working.
- You can export your full ledger and financials at any time, whether or not QuickBooks is connected.
- You can reconnect QuickBooks later if you change your mind.
Disconnecting QuickBooks is not the same as canceling TidyMonth. To cancel your subscription, see the cancel option in your account or our Terms of Service.
